Thomas turned 2 months on Wednesday! I can't believe it's already been two months. We have had so much fun with him and still can't get over how cute he is each day. He's getting more and more responsive and animated each day.
He's had a cold the past few days. His little raspy cry is so cute and sad.
He got his shots on Thursday and it was so sad! He didn't know what he was in for. He didn't like to be held much that day, I think because his legs were sore. He then got a fever that evening and had such a rough night, waking up every hour. He could not fall asleep well with the Tylenol in his system.
Thankfully he is doing much better today though!
He now weighs 11lbs 9oz and is 23.5 inches long!
Some facts at 2 months:
-He has been smiling a lot more the past couple weeks. It's so fun to see his personality. He smiled at Grandma reeves and Grandma and Grandpa Keller for the first time. They loved it.
-He still loves to have his forehead rubbed when he's tired. He cannot keep his eyes open when it's happening.
-He's the smiliest in the morning. It's so cute. We are usually awake when Ben leaves for work so he gets to see all his smiles.
-He still sleeps in our room next to our bed in his little rock 'n play. He wakes up about every three hours at night to eat. But occasionally goes four hours.
-He's getting better at nursing but we still have our hard days. There will be times where he will not nurse because he's too distracted and can't relax. I've had to swaddle him to nurse a few times. And he always does so much better at night because he's relaxed. Although sometimes he falls asleep after a few minutes.
-He loves napping in his swing and will stay asleep there the longest. Besides maybe his parents' or grandparents' arms.
-He loves his car seat and falls asleep almost instantly when we start driving.
-Loves his binky when he's falling asleep, but is horrible at keeping it in his mouth. It usually falls out after a minute, so we have to hold it in.
-Makes fists with his hands all the time now and grasps anything you put in them. He had his hands mostly open for the first month and a half of his life.
-He grew out of his newborn diapers and newborn pajamas last week. He's getting so big!
-When he sleeps next to me and manages to get his arms out of his swaddle, he always smacks me a few times while he's trying to get to sleep.
-He still hates tummy time but we definitely need to try it more often.
-His eyes are a dark blue/green color. Depending on the day.
